  1. Welcome to AlphaPro 1.0 for OS/2!
  2.  
  3. This OS/2 bi-lingual spelling and counting game is designed for young 
  4. computer users from the ages of 2 years to 6 years old.  It is very 
  5. basic by design, yet the options for customizing the program are 
  6. infinite, depending on how many different icons and bitmaps you can 
  7. acquire. The controls are large to enable young users to easily use 
  8. the program.

  10. How it works: Alpha Pro consists of a main window covered with buttons 
  11. corresponding to the letters of the alphabet and the numbers 
  12. one (1) through ten (10).

  14. The child clicks on a button, and another window is displayed with 
  15. large size character, a English or Spanish word that starts with the 
  16. character, the equivalent in English or Spanish and a small graphic 
  17. in icon format that represents the word in question.

  22. Files in this release:
  23. ALPHAPRO.EXE    - runtime executable

  30. Create a directory or subdirectory for AlphaPro on a local drive. 
  31. Copy all files to that directory. Create a program object for the 
  32. alphapro.exe file. Leave it on the desktop or place it in the games 
  33. folder.

  35. AlphaPro can be customized by using additional icons and bitmaps. 
  36. You can find other bitmaps most anywhere, such as web pages for zoos 
  37. and publications such as National Geographic. If you wish to edit 
  38. the default bitmaps or icons, see the online help for more information.

  41. Using the AlphaPro registration dialog
  42.  
  43. When AlphaPro is loaded, it defaults to demonstration mode and a 
  44. registration dialog is shown. When you have received your key from 
  45. BMT Micro, enter your name in the top text entry field. Enter your 
  46. key in the entry field at the bottom of the window. Clicking on 
  47. the button labled "Save / Guardar" will process the registration 
  48. information and close the window.
